Everything But Bikes
The second re-launch of the Everything But Bikes website we've personally managed in the past three years was designed to help the website move with the times in terms of both customer interaction and the vast improvements in online software since the last version.
E-Commerce
To bring the shop functionality up to date, we switched to the latest state-of-the-art Interspire Shopping Cart software as well as a fresh new design. This was no small task, as it meant programming an importer to automatically transfer all of the products from the previous software, but saved many hours in the long run re-keying data and re-adding product photos.
The new software also allowed us to offer more customer-oriented features such as wishlists, product comparison, improved product search and email newsletter integration as well as the features vital to the shop staff themselves. With this new software for example, the staff can easily see which products are being searched for including products that may not necessarily be listed on the website. Armed with this knowledge, they can position popular products more prominently as well as looking at new lines to stock on the website - you'd be surprised at what people search for! Contact details are also automatically captured for those customers who request to be notified of updates and special offers, and the data is fed straight through to contact lists in the Interspire Email Marketer software ready for the staff to send out mailings at the click of a button.
Over all, the software has a more user-friendly interface for both staff and customers. It is both easy to use and visually appealing with a fantastic feature set and we can't recommend it enough.

Website Re-Design
The re-design focused on modernising the look and feel of the website, whilst enhancing the customer's shopping experience. Better positioning and more variety of product categories and customer account links, as well as the prominent placement of the search function at the top of the site are all vast improvements, and there is already evidence that more people are staying longer on the website, with more searches being made and more orders being placed.
The light design also puts you in a better mood we think, and the updated font used in the header and the banners give it a more up-to-date look than our previous design.
Don't get us wrong, we liked the previous design too (we're biased), but there's always room for improvement and we hope you'll agree the new site looks very friendly and appealing.
