Great British Walks

Great British Walks is a website where walkers and other outdoor enthusiasts can share their favourite walks by writing them up online.

The Concept

Linking into a variety of systems, other people will be able to read up on the walk, view photos, assess difficulty and accessibility, as well as get directions to the beginning of the walk by road.

With an outdoor theme in mind, we have created a website on a background of bark-chippings with mud-splashes and coffee-mug stains to get the reader in the mood, whilst presenting various breath-taking photos at random at the top of the page.

We designed the logo to sit on a background with a fabric pattern to represent a clothing/rucksack label complete with it's own grubby mud effects. As with all our branding designs, the logo can be re-sized to be used on letterheads, posters and a variety of other media.

The site itself won't be opening until later in 2008, and as it's an in-house project we're keeping a lot of features to ourselves, but please check back frequently or get in touch if you'd like to know a little more.
