Website Development

Our website development services include the initial design of the website's layout, writing the website code (HTML) itself and, if required, uploading the website to our own web hosting space and setting up any associated email accounts. We'll also happily re-design your current website if you have one.

Should you require a more interactive website which would allow you to change the content yourself whenever you wish, we can put together a back-end system which will allow you to do this at an added cost.

Whilst the initial design work and gathering details of what you'd like to put on your website may take time, we envisage that a simple website can potentially be constructed in only a few weeks. To help speed things along, there are some things worth thinking about before contacting us:

• Message - This is the most important thing to consider. What are you trying to say to your customers? A website is a very powerful and high-profile maketing tool and it's important that not only do you get your message across, but that you're sending the right message in the first place.
  
• Domain Name - This is the "address" at which your site can be found. For example, our domain name is notanotherdotcom.com, so you will need to think of a domain name for your website. This could be based on your business name, something that your company sells or be completely made up - anything you like, but be aware that a domain name may already be in use by someone else and so having a few alternatives in mind is a good idea.
  
• Theme - Take a look at your company's logo and colours, as well as what you do. Do you want to go with a strong colour scheme with crisp, bold lines to compliment an outgoing and confident company image, or perhaps a calmer colour scheme with a softer design to compliment a friendlier service?
  
• Flexibility - Consider how much flexibility you would like your site to have. Are you happy for us to take off the load and update your site as needed in future for a small fee or would you prefer to pay a little extra for a system which would allow you to update the website yourself as often as you like?
  
• Getting Noticed - We'll be honest with you, getting to the top of the page on search engine results is difficult. The only way to do this is to make sure you've got a good, accurate set of keywords to describe your business and it's services, and to get yourself linked to from other websites such as business directories like Yell.com as well as sites with similar interestes. You can also pay large search engines such as Google to have your website listed at the top of their page in a "sponsored" section, but we'd like to think that with careful planning and good marketing that this shouldn't be neccessary.

Email Newsletters

Using a web-based newsletter program, you can have the ability to send out messages tailored to your individual customers, with personal greetings addressing them by name, and branded from top to bottom with your company identity.

Hosting

We offer website hosting along with our website design service. For an annual fee, we'll take care of your site and ensure it stays running as smoothly as possible.

Included in this price, we'll perform any maintainence work or set up any email accounts you might want to add in the future whether they be for your clients to contact you at, or even if you want each member of your staff to have an email account.

Updates

Whether we've built you a website or you have a current website that needs updating, please get in touch and we'll discuss the options available to you.

If you're planning on updating pages frequently, you might want to ask about automating parts of your site so you can update them easily yourself.

Statistics

We're happy to announce that we can offer free visitor tracking and statistical information on all our customer's websites through a service called StatCounter.

This allows you to keep track of where visitors are coming to your site from, which search engines are being used, which keywords and pages are most popular and a whole lot more besides!

The information gathered will allow you to find out what's popular on your website and what may need altering, enabling you to adapt your site to better suit what your clients are looking for.

The free version of this service only logs the last 100 visitors' details, which may be enough information for sites with fewer visitors, but this limit can be expanded to provide more accurate long-term information gathering.

If you decide that you'd like to try the free version of StatCounter on your website, we can easily set this up for you, and let you know when you're near the logging limit so that you can upgrade if you wish.
